Schwerpunkt Volume 3 is another collection of scenarios from Evan Sherry and the folks down in Tampa. There are twelve scenarios in standard AH layout, printed on card stock. There is also a book with Designers notes and Analysis.

Most of the Schwerpunkt scenarios as in their tradition are short tournament style, though this time there are a couple of lone ones. This is my favourite kind of package, just scenarios. No counter storage problems, no large maps for just 5 scenarios (don’t get me wrong, I love maps). No special rules that cover Christmas Tree farms and are used in 8 of 12 scenarios. This is just the game.

The scenarios are:
SP25: Two Pounds in Return. The British and Germans in the desert, the Germans with captured portee 2 pdrs.
SP26: Wollersheim! Germans and Americans (with Pershings).
SP27: Sudden Fury. Quick armor battle. 3 German JgPz V's against 10 British Churchills.
SP28: Clearing Qualberg. British and Germans mix it up.
SP29: Schloss Bubingen. Americans try an blow the Germans out of the Board 6 Manor house with a 155mm.
SP30: Evicting Yamagishi. Late war Russians against Japanese. IS-2's trying to dig out Japanese.
SP31: The Hills of Lagonovo. 8 Germans squads, with armor support and Rocket OBA try and drive 30+ Russian squads off Board 2 hills.
SP32: Over Open Sights. 3 British Guns attacked by 6 squads of Italian Cavalry in the desert. Real short.
SP33: The Eternal City. Great combined arms battle, with both the Americans and Germans having a lot of fun toys to play with.
SP34: Frankforce. Early war British combine assault on German gun emplacments.
SP35: The Jungleers. Japanese Banzai hapless Americans dug in.
SP 36: Desantniki. Russian Shermans attack German Positions. Looks quick.

The only problem I have with all the Schwerpunkt packs, is that after they give you the scenarios, they give you the "quote" best way to win for either side. While interesting to look at, I don’t need help in losing, when I play, I want my opponent to beat me, not my opponent and Evan Sherry.

Most of the scenarios look to be great fun. Strong recommendation.
