TRIBUTES

Jon Halfin
My fondest memory of Cloyde was his instructing this new (at the time in 1991) ASL player why exactly he was able to beat me so easily at a match we played at the old TRW (now Experian) building in Long Beach. He was always willing to teach the "new guy" how to play this game.

It was with sadness some time ago when I returned to the hobby after finishing my career in the USMC to learn of his passing.

Rest Well, Cloyde.

from "that guy whose wounded heroic 7-0 held off the Shermans bravely in the end at the wooden building all alone..."

Cloyde's Family has graciously given permission for a tribute to him to be here. I say thank you for the camaraderie of another friend and opponent, now departed.
